The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. The selection process will comprise of Written Test, skill test and interview. 5. Interview :- Candidates who pass in Written Exam will be issued with Call Up letter to appear in Skill Test and Interview for all categories. Candidates will bring their Admit Card issued by Embarkation Headquarters, Mumbai to appear for written test/skill test/interview. Candidates NOT found in possession of Admit Card will NOT be permitted. . Final merit will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Test, Skill Test and Interview, subject to availability of vacancies in particular categories/trades. Thereafter, candidates will be short listed on the basis of merit in overall and as per the vacancies available in particular category. Individual who has furnished wrong information in the application form, false certificate to avail benefits/ reservation, false/wrong information in the application form regarding relatives or who have fully suppressed any material information, shall be liable to cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment process and / or termination of service, if the candidate has been selected. Service Conditions 9.The candidates finally selected for appointment will be under the Ministry of Defence (Govt of India) and are likely to be posted under Embarkation Headquarters, Mumbai but will be liable to be appointed/transferred to anywhere in India with All India Transfer Liability and also for Field Service Liability (Civilian in Defence) as applicable. 10. Probation . The persons selected for appointment will be probation for a period of two years, which may further be extended at the discretion of Appointing Authority i. e, Commandant, Embarkation Headquarters, Mumbai.Action against candidates found Guilty of Misconduct. 11. Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false or suppress any material information in filling up the application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case tamper with entry in documents or its attested/ certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit tampered/fabricated documents. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy between two or more such documents or their attested /certified copies, an explanation regarding the discrepancy should be submitted. 2. Important instructions to the candidates/applicant : (a) Dates of examinations will be intimated to the eligible candidates later on through call letter /Admit Card. (b) Candidates will endorse the category/caste under which reservation sought in bold letters. c) Persons working in Central/State Govt/PSU must apply through proper channel along with the certificate from their establishment that no disciplinary action is contemplated/pending against them and that they have no objection in releasing them in case of selection. However, their candidature will be subject to receipt of application on due date. Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Hereinafter referred to as PCM) subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army after 4 years of Basic Military Training and Technical Training thereafter with the terms and conditions given in the succeeding paragraphs. 2.ELIGIBILITY: (a) Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination provisionally subject to the necessary certificate being given to him by the Govt before declaration of result by SSB/joining training. VACANCIES: 85 Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the training Academy for this course. The vacancies are subject to increase/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at the point of time. 4. TYPE OF COMMISSION: On successful completion of 4 years of the course cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt. :5.Grant of Commission: On successful completion of total 04 years training, the candidates will be commissioned in the rank of Lt. They will be granted seniority on overall order of merit of the three technical institutes combined i. e. CME, MCTE, MCEME and in case the date of commissioning coincides with that of IMA, Dehradun, they will be placed en-block junior to IMA (NDA / ACC / DE Course ) but above TGC / UES course. TRAINING 6. Total training will be 5 years, Details as under: (a) Basic Military Training : 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya). b) Technical Training: (i)Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad), (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad. (c) Award of Degree: The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of training as given out in para 6 (a) and (b) above. No ante date seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree.In case they fail to qualify in the following year examination, the same will result in loss of seniority to them and they will forfiet seniority to the extent of delay in passing Engineering degree examination. If they fail to qualify even within three years of their commissioning, their commission will be terminated. COST OF TRAINING 7. The entire cost of training including books and reading material is borne by the Army. Cadets are also provided with free accommodation and messing.In case the GC is withdrawn from training academy due to reasons other than Medical ground or the reasons not beyond his control, he will be liable to refund cost of training @ Rs. 7075/ -per week for the period of his stay at the Officer Training Academy, Gaya/Cadet Taining Wing. 8. The selection procedure is as follows: (a) Short listed candidates will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad. Interviews will be held in Feb/Mar 2013 onwards. (b) Duration of SSB interviews is five days excluding day of arrival.During their stay at SSB, Candidates are put through psychological Test, Group test and Interviews. (c)Candidates will be put through stage – I of the selection procedure on the first day. Only successful candidates shall be retained for balance of the testing. Candidates who fail to qualify in stage – I, will be returned on the first day itself, Stage I are psychologically originated test including intelligence test. On completion of 4 Years training they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank. j) RETIREMENT BENEFITS Pension gratuity and casual pensionary award will be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from time to time. (k) Officers may be granted commision in any arms/services and will be liable for service in any part of the world on selected appoinments as decided by Army headquarters from time to time. (l) LEAVE: Leave will be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from time to time. 10. On commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual leave and 20 days casual leave LTC, and other concessions.
